If you have diabetes or blood clots or are at risk, it is essential you consult your doctor first. If you've had recent surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or any other medical procedure, or are pregnant, it is wise to check with your doctor before starting massage therapy. Massage cannot be performed on bruises, inflamed or infected skin, skin rashes, unhealed or open wounds, tumors, abdominal hernia, fragile bones, or areas of recent fractures. Some people with osteoporosis should avoid Deep Tissue Massage.
At Hibiscus traditional thai massage, we are happy to discuss other treatment times ( longer or shorter ) to suit our customer's needs and the time available. Generally, we believe any type of professional massage therapy treatment will require at least 60 minutes. If you are serious about feeling better: Body tightness, Stiffness, Muscle tension. We recommend a 90 minute massage is the most therapeutic time frame.
